Belatedly, the Democrats call for Andrew Cuomo to resign over his sex abuse scandals

New York governor Cuomo's been accused of sexual abuse over the years, with at least 3 women now coming forward to accuse him of being a scumbag towards them, and he also has to be held accountable for the nursing home scandal he caused. But what's possibly telling is that only now, after the Democrats robbed Donald Trump of victory last year, they're starting to take Cuomo to task and call for his resignation:
That said, Cuomo most definitely should resign, and has no business being in politics anymore.
Rep. Kathleen Rice (D-NY) called on Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) to resign on Monday via Twitter while citing a New York Times story focused on accusations of sexual harassment against the governor.As noted, there's been a third plaintiff who's come forward to accuse him of misconduct. But this is all coming so late, when here, if they'd wanted to, I'm sure they could've ousted Cuomo much sooner, and besides, they're not even looking at the accusations against Joe Biden, let alone the serious case of Cuomo's disastrous conduct on the Covid19 situation. So it's apparent this isn't an altruistic response to the emerging scandal.
Rice wrote, “The time has come. The Governor must resign.”
On Saturday, Rice called for an “independent investigation” of sexual harassment allegations against Cuomo. She tweeted, “This is no joke. There must be an independent investigation into these allegations. The accused CANNOT appoint the investigator.” PERIOD.
Rice’s call for Cuomo’s resignation did not include criticisms of the governor’s conduct with respect to his public health policies on COVID-19.
That said, Cuomo most definitely should resign, and has no business being in politics anymore.
