UK's prince Andrew faces consequences for his associations with Jeffrey Epstein
Buckingham Palace announced Thursday that Queen Elizabeth has stripped her son Prince Andrew of all military titles and patronages and he will no longer be entitled to use His Royal Highness (HRH) as a form of address. And even Giuffre's not very innocent herself, recalling she tried to unfairly accuse Alan Dershowitz of misconduct, though he himself, no matter how he's practiced law in the past, should know better than to associate with people like Epstein, even as a defense lawyer. For now, this certainly is a step in the right direction coming from the UK monarchy, and probably even more responsible than most USA officials could ever be expected to be. The steps taken against prince Andrew were also done upon request by petitioners from the UK military, which is impressive in its own way too. So now, he'll be facing trial for his own role in a serious abuse scandal that was committed against children. Truly disgusting.
The action – effective immediately – means he is now forced to defend his sexual abuse case in a U.S. court as a “private citizen.” The civil case, brought by Virginia Giuffre, is due to move into a discovery phase soon where Andrew may have to sit for an interview under oath – known as a deposition.
