A leader of the Islamized Haredi clan called Lev Tahor - possibly one who may have somehow escaped from Israel a few months earlier - was arrested in Guatemala on child abuse charges:
A leader of an extremist haredi Orthodox Jewish group was arrested Sunday in Guatemala.I may have mentioned this before, and will again: that the clan would try to obtain asylum in Iran says quite a bit about their mindsets as a cult that incorporates elements from Islam like the women wearing outfits similar to niqabs. It's fortunate the criminal in focus was captured, and this time, if authorities are smart, they'll hold him without bail before his trial.
Guatemalan authorities arrested Yaakov Weinstein of Lev Tahor on the first day of Passover, the Orthodox news site Yeshiva World News reported. According to the Israeli news site Kikar Hashabbat, Weinstein was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping children. [...]
Guatemalan authorities have been monitoring leaders of Lev Tahor leaders in recent years. Members of the group, which is anti-Zionist, have applied for political asylum in Iran.
