Iraq and al Qaeda operations in Germany
The Weekly Standard uncovers what the bigoted moonbats would rather you not know, about al Qaeda operations in Germany, via a summary from the Middle East Intelligence Bulletin:
Update: also worth noting: From the Washington Post, it would appear that many of the suicide bombers in Iraq are throwing away their lives for the sake of al-Qaeda:
The most serious report contained information that Iraq and Osama bin Ladin were working together. German authorities were surprised by the arrest of the two Iraqi agents and the discovery of Iraqi intelligence activities in several German cities. German authorities, acting on CIA recommendations, had been focused on monitoring the activities of Islamic groups linked to bin Ladin. They discovered the two Iraqi agents by chance and uncovered what they considered to be serious indications of cooperation between Iraq and bin Ladin. The matter was considered so important that a special team of CIA and FBI agents was sent to Germany to interrogate the two Iraqi spies. On a related note, Militant Islam Monster points out that al Qaeda is planning to move into and operate in Gaza, as plenty have already predicted. And, as former army Major-General Jacob Amidror points out in the article:
According to retired Major General Jacob Amidror, a former commander of Israel's National Defense College and former head of the army's research and assessment division, "it is not surprising that al Qaeda would claim to have set up a cell in the Gaza Strip because of what he called ‘historical relations' between al Qaeda and Hamas." He said that Hamas, which is on the U.S. State Department's list of terrorist organizations, recently won big in Palestinian municipal elections and is considered to be strong in the Gaza Strip. Al Qaeda could take advantage of the Gaza Strip as a new "safe haven" in the Middle East, said Amidror. "Ironically, it will be the only place where nobody will initiate action against them. They will be under the umbrella of the Palestinian Authority. Israel will not feel free to act inside Gaza, and the U.S. for sure won't act," he said.If the US does not act to put a stop to al Qaeda in Gaza, then that will certainly be a betrayal of the American public and show that president Dubya is not true to his word on stopping the terrorist organization that struck and caused tragedy for thousands of Americans on 9-11.
Update: also worth noting: From the Washington Post, it would appear that many of the suicide bombers in Iraq are throwing away their lives for the sake of al-Qaeda:
The account of Qahtani's death, like many other individual entries on the Web sites, cannot be verified. But independent experts and former government terrorism analysts who monitor the sites believe they are genuine mouthpieces for the al Qaeda-affiliated radicals who have made Iraq "a melting pot for jihadists from around the world, a training group and an indoctrination center," as a recent State Department report put it. The sites hail death in Iraq as the inspiration for a new generation of terrorists in much the same way that Afghanistan attracted Muslims eager to fight against the Soviet Union in the 1980s.That too is very disturbing.
