Maureen Dowd: Ignoramus
Discover the Networks' Moonbat Central points out how ignorant Maureen Dowd of the NY Times really is when discussing the Iraq war. The very same Dowd who went around attacking and putting down Michael Medved and Bill O'Reilly without presenting a genuine argument as to why.

Oh, and must it be pointed out that Nixon was no better than even today's would-be presidents? Let's not be fooled by Tricky Dicky, as he was nicknamed at times.

It is striking that the same people who ignored the warnings of the Nixon Adminisration that a bloodbath would follow an American withdrawal are thumbing their nose at that inevitability today in regard to Iraq. It is equally striking that neither the Bush Administration nor spokesmen on the war like Newt Gingrich are reminding "liberals" and the country at large of that grim result.Glad to see they're not blind to the Bush administration (or to Gingrich, who caused some damage to the Republican party by making it look as if they more interested in bringing about the downfall of Clinton in 1998 than anything else) on this subject. But at the same time, I would like to point out that America was not trying to win the war in Vietnam properly, if at all, mainly because the dictator who was responsible for the bloodbath in the country happened to reside in a neighboring section of the country, that being the northern area, not in the area where the US and allies were fighting, which was southern Vietnam. And because they didn't try to bring down the southeast Asian dictator running Vietnam at the time, that's one more reason why the war was such a failure.
