Sudan reading assignments
The genocide and slavery in the Sudan/Darfur area cannot be ignored, and that's why it'd be strongly recommended to check out some of the best I can find here on something that not just the United Nations is otherwise ignoring, but also the United States as well. Here's some links to the best entries I can find on the subject.

Sudan Watch: USS Cole families can sue Sudan - total may take Salva Kiir to court over Sudan oil field
Most disturbing among those I could find was the knowledge that the major networks have refused to air advertisements, if at all, documenting the horrors going on in the war-torn African country. It just goes to show how corrupt and bigoted ABC, CBS and NBC really are, and should be boycotted for things like that too.
