Al Qaeda ring busted in Toronto

Canadian authorities recently captured an al Qaeda ring that was operating in Toronto. (Hat tip: Mark in Mexico.) But they did it in rather soft-lined terms, by resorting to the following approach described:
The Counterterrorism Blog notes that these terrorists entered Canada from the US, which should give a very good clue to how vulnerable the borders between countries are to terrorist cells when not properly guarded.

Dangerous criminals are on the loose and are just as capable of harming citizens of Canada as they are citizens of America, and all they think of doing is trying out a "confrontation interview"? Sorry, but that's pretty weak.
