Paris fires spread like the Chicago fire of the 1850s

The Weekly Standard publishes a report on the deteriorating situation in France by Oliver Guitta (also at The Counterrorism Blog), as the Moslem perpetrated violence reaches more of Paris on its tenth day (and the AP Wire continues to refrain from identifying the culprits as Muslim). As a police commander told France's interior minister:
"A civil war is unfolding in Clichy-sous-Bois. We cannot handle the challenge any longer. Only the Army, trained and equipped for this type of mission, can intervene to stabilize the situation."
The French government is going to have to do that now, if they're to restore law and order, and take much more restrictive actions and laws to deter these Islamofascist rioters. The ratings in polls for the government have dropped considerably, certainly Jacques Chirac's, and the time has come to fight back against the scum, and to take back the country.

Betsy's Page has some interesting observations about France:
There has been a lot of schadenfreude here about what is going on in France. It's not hard to have a rather childish sense of satisfaction that the French who have so long looked down their oh so superior noses at les Americains. But, the time schadenfreude has passed. What is going on in France will probably spread to other countries in Europe. And we can't forget that some of the 9/11 hijackers came through Europe. It wouldn't be difficult for other such men to hide among those stuck in their wretched projects. What goes on there can come here and spread elsewhere. I just feel a sense of doom about this malevolence spreading throughout Europe and then to our shores.
And that's exactly why the case for stronger immigration laws plus a demand for Islam to reform and reeducate its followers will have to be made. Mark Steyn's also got a column in the Chicago Sun-Times in which he voices some of the same worries as Betsy about what could or will happen in Europe. And see also this older article by Theodore Dalrymple in City Journal that predicted what could be the outcome of France's stupidity with immigration at any price.

Update: French police discover a bomb-making factory in the suburb of Evry south of Paris:
PARIS (AP) - Ten nights of urban unrest that brought thousands of arson attacks on cars, nursery schools and other targets from the Mediterranean to the German border reached Paris where at least 28 cars were burned overnight in the French capital, government officials said Sunday.

Police found a gasoline bomb-making factory in a southern suburb of the city, with more than 100 bottles, gallons of fuel and hoods for hiding rioters' faces, a senior Justice Ministry official said Sunday.

Six youths, all aged under 18, were arrested in the raid Saturday night on a building in Evry south of Paris where the gasoline bombs were being put together, Jean-Marie Huet, the ministry's director of criminal affairs and pardons, told The Associated Press.

The discovery, Huet said, shows that gasoline bombs being used by rioters "are not being improvised by kids in their bathrooms."
Another update: Betsy's Page points to another good article by Amir Taheri in the NY Post explaining the whys and hows of the intifada in Paris, and the enclaves of Moslem immigrants into places that are almost like mini-dictatorships.
