Red Ken continues to incite
His latest verbal hostility towards the Jewish State came in a response to proposal by Sebastian Coe, Chairman of the London Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games in 2012, that a ceremony be held to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the massacre of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics in 1972.Just like Steven Spielberg, alas.
Britain’s ITN Television asked a number of public figures to give their opinion on the proposal and here is what Livingstone had to say: “The most suitable way to commemorate the Munich Olympics is the creation of a Palestinian state next to Israel but without barriers.”
The Israeli Embassy in London condemned the remarks, saying Livingstone is making cynical use of a historical tragedy to serve his political agenda.
And while we're on the subject, Jerusalem Newswire (via IRIS Blog) reports on how Hamas is telling the west to take its financial aid and "go to hell." If that be the case, why then should the west have to waste millions of dollars rather than to donate it to better things, such as the people whose homes were lost during Katrina?
