(IsraelNN.com) An indictment was handed down in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on Sunday morning against Israel Police mounted officer David Edri, who was captured on film using unjustifiable brutality against protestors in Amona. The behavior of the officers, which even included molestation and rape, whether attempted or actual, was also un-Israeli. Any officers guilty of violent conduct, IMO, should be ostracized by the public.
Some human rights activists have called for indictments against senior police brass, stating it was obvious that police troops on the scene were acting on orders to use brutal force against the unarmed protestors, mostly children and teenagers.
The indictment is the first to be handed down against one of the security forces taking part in the Amona expulsion.
