Participated in bloggers conference with Moshe Yaalon
Moshe Yaalon is the former Israeli Gen. Chief of Staff of the IDF, and I took part in another bloggers conference One Jerusalem had in which he was the special guest. Here's the recording of the call.
One question I asked him was if the prime minister was responsible for undermining the army's ability to really win against Hezbollah. While it's true that Olmert is responsible on his part for keeping the IDF from finishing the job, as Yaalon explained, there was still confusion in the army as well. On that, I think it could be said that Dan Halutz is partly responsible, and he certainly acted negligently and worst of all, as noted in this earlier entry, he sold his financial stocks shortly after the news of the two soldiers being kidnapped in Lebanon, a most bizarre and definately inappropriate action, when the soldiers' lives are what Halutz should be concerned about.
Again, it was great to participate in another bloggers conference, and I thank the One Jerusalem staff again for the invitation.
Now, I'm soon on my way to go to a rally hosted by the IDF reservists, that's scheduled to be held in another hour near the rose garden at the supreme court building.
The other participants include Westbankblog, Jewish Current Issues, Friends of Micronesia.
