France needs immigrants from China

The Georges Pompidou Center in France is opening a branch in Shanghai, China:
PARIS (AFP) - France's Pompidou centre is spreading its wings East, with plans to open a branch of the modern art museum in the Chinese city of Shanghai by the end of 2007, sources said.

The Paris-based centre, which is Europe's biggest contemporary art museum, told AFP it could confirm that "discussions were very advanced on setting up in Shanghai".

"China is destined to become a major player on the world artistic scene," the centre said in a communique.

It added that it was "vital for the Pompidou centre to have its finger on the pulse of this movement".

Two French newspapers have reported that a protocol agreement has already been concluded with the Chinese authorities.

[...]

Art from the 20th and 21st centuries is due to be exhibited at the Chinese branch of the Pompidou centre with works from the Paris museum as well as other exhibits which are more specific to China, the source added.

The plan sees 4,500 square metres of the 10,000-square-metre site given over to displays while the rest will be occupied by a children's gallery, library, a design shop, cafe and restaurant.

The Pompidou Centre already had its sights on Asia last year when it took part in a project in partnership with the Solomon Guggenheim Foundation in New York to set up a museum in Hong Kong, although the plans did not come to fruitition.
This is nice news, but it also made me think of something else that many in France would surely agree with as well: if France needs an immigrant community, that's why immigrants from China would surely be the best to look to. In sharp contrast to the Muslims wrecking the country now, the Chinese would be more likely to contribute to the better for France, compete in businesses, and to uphold the law. And there could be more Chinese resturants opened serving delicious noodles for everyone to enjoy, and you could have holiday celebrations in Chinatown neighborhoods with paraders wearing dragon costumes. Wouldn't that be much better?

It's something that practically all of Europe needs to consider as well. There are many people in China suffering under the communist rulership still in command who, if they could come to Europe, could find and offer a better living. And if Europe's leaders are smart, they'll start looking to China for tomorrow's immigrants and not to Muslims countries in the mideast.

It's something to consider if you ask me, and it'd be much better for Europe to be Eurasia than Eurabia.
