I'm sure Erdogan wants to break ties with Israel, so what's he waiting for?

Turkish premier Tayyip Erdogan blabbers that Israel is losing a "friend" (via Hot Air Headlines):
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply criticized Israel for its reaction to the Mavi Marmara raid Thursday saying that "Israel stands to lose its closest ally in the Middle East if it does not change its mentality."
What about people like you, Erdogan? Why don't you change the mentality of Islam you still stick with, that's been and still is ruining Turkey, and is driving you to forge ties with Iran? Clearly, you think that when you're adhering to the Religion of Peace, it means never having to say you're sorry.

I do think he wants to declare an end to Turkey's relations with Israel, so why is he taking his time? Far as I'm concerned, he should just call it a wrap already. Jihad condoners like him are not someone we need for friends.

Update: in more on the flotilla subject, The Weekly Standard has revealed that the Muslim Brotherhood had a hand in this atrocity too.

Update 2: wouldn't you know it, the horrific Ron Paul has reared his ugly head again, and is denouncing Israel's raid on the flotilla, regardless of how monstrous the boaters were, of course. Paul is most disgraceful man, and the Republican party would do well to distance themselves from him.

Israel needs friends like Erdogan like it needs enemies. Israel should break diplomatic relations with Turkey first. No self-respecting country would maintain ties with a country hostile to it. What are the schlemiel idiots in the Israeli government waiting for?
