What led to the shooting at the Barnoar center
It has been also cleared for publication that Felician carried out the deadly attack to avenge the sexual abuse of his 15-year-old relative by a grown man he expected to be at the center. [...]Here is the info about the suspect/witness:
The investigation revealed that two weeks before the murder, Felician learned that his teen relative had been molested (something that both the teen and the suspect in the molestation, a known LGBT activist, deny). Once he learned this, the three suspects began planning revenge. With this in mind, Felician made contact with his friend, a criminal who was openly gay and serving time in prison – and the man who was to turn state’s witness. Felician asked his friend for information about the man suspected of molestation.
According to information provided to the police, the soon-to-turn state’s witness told the three that the man they suspected of molestation was supposed to be at Barnoar one evening in early August. He also lent Felician a mask from his home, delivered via a relative, and used by the killer during the shooting.
A court has removed the gag order on the identity of the final suspect in the 2009 Barnoar murders. The suspect is Shaul Ganon, 49, the former director of the site.Ganon has confessed to his crime:
Ganon is not believed to have taken part in the attack. Rather, he is alleged to have committed a crime which was the motive for the shooting at the gay and lesbian youth club.
He is accused of having sexually assaulted a 15-year-old in 2009. The youth told a his relative Hagai Felician, then a 19-year-old soldier, about the attack.
Felician and two others stand accused of having plotting Ganon’s murder in revenge. Felician allegedly opened fire on innocent bystanders at Barnoar after failing to find Ganon at the site.
Gay activist Shaul Ganon has admitted to having sexual contact with a suspect in the 2009 Barnoar murders who was a minor at the time, and has agreed to be a state's witness in the case, police told a Tel Aviv court Sunday. [...]This is definitely shocking. That said, gunning down defenseless people at the center was wrong, and they should be throughly ashamed of themselves, just like that Felician should be ashamed of himself for drug running.
The police representative added during the hearing that Ganon and another state's witness in the case not the minor developed a dependence on each other, and that Ganon funded his legal representation in a case.
As part of the state's witness' effort to incriminate the suspects, he corresponded via Facebook with Felician. The correspondence revealed that Felician dealt drugs and was caught with 100 Ecstasy pills. Police said the state's witness' activity stopped when the suspects discovered his true intentions, four days before the arrests.
As of now, one of the state witnesses fled from the police, and is on the lam, claiming he fears the former cronies he agreed to turn in. I just can't understand how the police managed to screw up even that task.
Update: the escaped state witness has been recaptured. I wouldn't be surprised however, if his credibility is on the line.
