Fighting the liars from the pits of hell

Naomi Ragen wrote about Phillipe Karsenty and Nahum Shahaf's long battle to expose the al-Dura fabrication. At the end, she notes:
Karsenty, Shahaf, Landes, Shapira, Poller and others are angels who stepped in where the Israeli government feared to tread, proving themselves true Jewish heroes, men and women who fought for truth and exposed terrorist lies and blood libels responsible for Jewish deaths, including that of Myriam Monsenego, the French child shot by a Muslim barbarian who cited revenge for al-Dura as a motive.

While former president Nicolas Sarkozy honored Charles Enderlin with the Legion of Honor, we Jews have yet to honor these heroes with anything. I propose the Israel Prize. At least.
Glad she reminded everybody of Sarkozy's own dhimmitude, proof of where he apparently stands, and it's not on France's side either. Enderlin is the kind of "Jew" he considers worthy of a prize he doesn't deserve, but not Karsenty? He was no serious loss to France either, and if his career in politics is over, he may have asked for it, because what he's done was as grave a disservice to France as it was to Israel, and a slap in the face to victims of crime he visited prior to his election in 2007.

And the 5 people Ragen's cited do deserve a lot of honor for their efforts to expose the scandal, which no court ruling is going to change. Karsenty himself wrote on Pajamas Media about all this.

About me

  • I'm Avi Green
  • From Jerusalem, Israel
  • I was born in Pennsylvania in 1974, and moved to Israel in 1983. I also enjoyed reading a lot of comics when I was young, the first being Fantastic Four. I maintain a strong belief in the public's right to knowledge and accuracy in facts. I like to think of myself as a conservative-style version of Clark Kent. I don't expect to be perfect at the job, but I do my best.
