Axe-swinger in NYC was an Islamofascist
The man who attacked New York City police officers with a hatchet before being shot dead was reported to have Islamic “extremist leanings” police and a monitoring group said. There's more on the issue at Hot Air. So here was another jihadist not unlike the 2 in Canada who went on a rampage. And another who should be sent to hell for the horror he caused.
The man, identified in the US media as Zale Thompson, had posted an array of statements on YouTube and Facebook that “display a hyper-racial focus in both religious and historical contexts, and ultimately hint at his extremist leanings,” the SITE monitoring group said. …
SITE, which monitors radical Muslim groups, said that in a comment Thompson had posted to a pro-Islamic State video on September 13, 2014, he described “jihad as a justifiable response to the oppression of the ‘Zionists and the Crusaders.’”

The msm remains fixed on a lone wolf perpetrating this bloody act, yet there are reports suggesting the possiblity of multiple parties involved in a set up.
DNAinfo New York Video: Hatchet-Wielding Man Attacks Police Before Being Gunned Down
This link provides the following details leading to that supposition:"The chaotic scene unfolded about 2 p.m. when a freelance photographer approached four officers assigned to foot patrol with the 103rd Precinct and asked to take their picture on Jamaica Avenue near 162nd Street, NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton said during a Thursday evening press conference.
As the officers posed for the shot on the rainy street,
No further information is provided anywhere online about this "freelance photographer" who is also a critical witness with potentially useful images taken during the attack.
Another blog called the Gothamist reveals:
"A hatchet-wielding man was shot dead and four NYPD officers, plus a bystander, are injured after police responded to an assault in Jamaica Queens. "
Is there a corroborating report of this call about an assault? If not, is this could be indicative of a set up where the - as yet, unidentified 'freelance photographer' COINCIDENTALLY distracted these four 'rookie' officers PRECISELY at the moment this ax wielding jihadist attacked these unsuspecting officers posing for that photograph?
Also suspiciously convenient is the fact that this surveillance video is focused precisely on that section of the sidewalk where this attack took place. Is this surveillance camera always facing that direction?
Is there a witness statement on file from this "freelance photographer"?
So many questions which suggest there is more to this story than has been revealed thus far.
Prayers go up for the two wounded officers and the young woman who was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time. Speedy recovery to all.
