Former Haredi manages to become actor
Here's an item on the Huffington Post by a former Haredi who left the fold and managed to study becoming an actor in films. What's interesting though, is that he says he was an atheist. Is that why HuffPo picked up on his commentary? I do realize why some former Haredis could become atheists - the oppressive MO and questionable education they go by must cause some to get turned off - but why should just atheists matter, and not men and women who left the Hasidic lifestyle and took up a simpler, easier-to-handle form of religious living? Even simpler religious lifestyles matter.
