Some new information's come out shedding light on why Goel Ratzon, the rapist who made at least 20 women his slaves and abused their children as well was able to get away with his crimes. His victims are now suing the state for damages, and the following is revealed:
I hope the women are all recovering from their horrible experiences with that repellent man. But those officials who refused to take any action against Ratzon prior to his arrest owe them an apology, and should even admit they obviously have lenient views on sexual abuse. That's certainly what appears to be the problem, one that permeats a lot of other liberal societies as well.
The plaintiffs claim authorities were aware of the sexual abuse in Ratzon's cult since 2000, after a private investigator found evidence of incest and the sexual abuse of minors. Authorities received repeated complaints but did nothing "to prevent the horrors."Quite fascinating. A left-wing government - the kind of people who claim to be concerned about women's issues - turned their backs on all the victims. It was only after a decade when a real right-wing government not led by a wolf in sheep's clothing like Ariel Sharon came into office that something got done. Law enforcement officials with leftist mindsets were also guilty of neglect. It's all something that could take eons to repair.
Ratzon was first arrested in January 2010.
The plaintiffs further claim that the parents of one of the women contacted then-Justice Minister Yossi Beilin to request an investigation into Ratzon, but were told to speak to the Attorney General's Office.
Attorneys Amit Hadad and Meir Avraham, who represent the women, added that similar requests were made to then-Education Minister Yuli Tamir, but nothing was done. Moreover, the police did nothing about the complaints, the argued.
