Muslim charged with attempted murder in Petah Tikva
A young Palestinian man was indicted on charges of attempted murder on Wednesday for a stabbing attack in the central Israeli city of Petah Tikva last month which left one man wounded, the IDF said. And here's the irony:
The indictment states that 21 year-old Mansour Khatib, from the West Bank village of Kalkilya, entered Israel illegally on July 24 with a knife with the intention to carry out a stabbing attack against Israeli civilians. Once he arrived in Petah Tikva, he stabbed the victim in the neck several times leaving him seriously injured.
Thinking he had killed his victim, Khatib fled on foot but was eventually stopped by a local pizzeria worker, Shlomi Madar, who hit him with a large wooden pizza tray.
The victim, an Egged bus driver reportedly from the Israeli-Arab town of Arara, was stabbed by Khatib in front of a downtown shawarma stand after apparently being mistaken for a Jew.But truly, did he mistake him for a Jew? I'm sure there's plenty of jihadists who're more than perfectly willing to attack their own for even the most petty reasons. It happened in Egypt several years ago during the uprisings in Tahrir Square, so it's not impossible Islamofascists would be willing to do it to their own elsewhere too.
