One of the MeToo movement's biggest advocates is now accused of statutory sexual violations with a minor
Detectives from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department intend to contact actor James Bennett following a New York Times report that actress Asia Argento settled a complaint with him after he claimed she sexually assaulted him when he was 17-years-old and she was 37.According to TMZ (also via Breitbart), she even wrote text messages that indicate she did engage in intercourse with the then-teen. She's already withdrawn participation in a Dutch music festival following this scandal. Her victim's already spoken to the Hollywood Reporter (also via Breitbart), and I think Argento's just damaged their whole social justice agenda, which was never altruistic to begin with. She really is a disgrace, and if she faked her own victimization at the hands of Weinstein, then she's hurt the actual victims of moviedom's monster.
Variety reports that Argento is not under investigation for assault, but that detectives plan to talk to Bennett.
[...] Argento reportedly paid $380,000 to Bennett in a settlement after he filed an intent to sue, claiming that he was victimized by her during an encounter when he was under the age of consent in California.
Here's more on the topic by Ben Shapiro at the Jewish Journal (via the Daily Wire).
