The IDF is not doing any good by accomodating LGBT activists
After an ongoing campaign by “LGBT” organizations, the IDF has decided to make a revolutionary change and relinquish the definitions of "Mother" and "Father" in favor of "Parent 1" and "Parent 2", so as to prevent embarrassment during the stages of recruitment.Absolutely correct here, that this definitely shouldn't be going on sans public debate and comment. In addition, it's offensive if and how the government's been caving by allowing homosexual men to raise children who likely aren't the biological offspring of either one. Besides, why must the applicants be embarrassed, or not encouraged to show they have guts to handle the issues? They should definitely be supplied with the knowledge of who their biological mother and father are. A woman's group has responded to this atrocity:
Galei Tzahal Army Radio reported that for years the army refrained from changing documentation so as not to get involved in political disagreements: In doing so now, the IDF is essentially giving official recognition to the existence of "LGBT” families.
The IDF Spokesperson stated that "The IDF updates and changes the questionnaires from time to time in accordance with the comments received and the needs that arise during the screening process."
The “Torat Lehima” group, which works to strengthen the Jewish character of the State and the IDF, said in response, "It is shocking to see how the IDF has succumbed to the progressive dictates and constructs of the LGBT organizations. Will Galei Tzahal now change its Friday program to ‘The Voice of Parent 2’? [Galei Tzahal currently runs a program called ‘The Voice of Mother.’] The IDF must stop dealing with constructs. It is inconceivable for Israeli culture to be shaped by the army without public debate - this is not its role."
The Shovrot Shivyon (Breaking Equality) women's movement on Tuesday called on the IDF "to return 'Father' and 'Mother' to the induction forms and immediately remove the categories of 'Parent 1' and 'Parent 2,' recently instituted by the IDF." [...]A good way to deal with the problem is to start a debate on how much longer we can accept this kind of appeasement of homosexuality, along with whether we should continue to allow homosexual marriages and even child adoptions, which likely leads to indoctrination or worse. And, there should be visible protests to make clear this PC direction's not acceptable. And there also needs to be something done to combat LGBT influence in the media and other such institutions in Israel as much as anywhere else. What's been going on in the US is bad, and it's the same here too.
According to Shovrot Shivyon, "Identity politics have penetrated the IDF. The minority is forcing its opinion on the majority who believe in the values of the natural family. The IDF Spokesperson stated that the goal was to prevent embarrassment during induction stages. The silent and conservative majority was the one who felt embarrassed by such a form. Progressive values are assimilated by left-extreme groups without any public discussion, with the other side being silenced and modernized."
"As women and mothers, we call on the army to return to a consensus and avoid political disagreements that shape society at the expense of our children."
