The phony right-winger has spoken
The New Right Party held a conference Monday evening, attended by hundreds of activists and party leaders, in preparation for the possibility of a third election campaign in the near futureYup, a very big way, I'm sure. Translation: a big flop. After all the trouble these two caused over the years, it'd be for the best if they did run separately from other right wing parties, because if they ran together with Bayit Yehudi, they'd be bound to attack Netanyahu as they did last time - one of the reasons they did badly - and let's not forget how they tried to sabotage Israel Hayom's business at least 4 years ago. Bennett's proven one of the most disgusting political personalities around, and would be more of a liability to anyone willing to work with him...unless he intends to run with Moshe Feiglin, which I assume is entirely his willing intention this time.
Defense Minister and New Right leader Naftali Bennett said at the event "If the leaders of the various parties do not come together, we will find ourselves in another 15 days in the third election campaign within a year."
"If we run into an election campaign against our will - the New Right party will run as an independent party for the Knesset. I have already updated the Prime Minister, he is aware, we are running as a party and will be open to connections. We will do what is right for the State of Israel. The New Right is returning to the center of the map in a big way," Bennett said.
New Right chairwoman MK Ayelet Shaked said that she felt that further elections were inevitable. "We are not yet desperate to have Liberman return to the right-wing bloc, but that seems highly unlikely. The most realistic scenario is a third election campaign."
And why was it they attacked Netanyahu during the previous election, and now, all of a sudden, when he's unfairly indicted over falsified charges, they're seemingly willing to defend him? Frankly, I don't buy Bennett and Shaked's act, and they have no business being in politics. If they flop out, they'll deserve it, after all the hysterical trouble they caused.
