A jihadist in London went on a stabbing spree after early prison release
A man has been shot following multiple stabbings in Streatham, South London, in an incident which has been declared “terrorist-related”.Surveillance is not enough; these ogres have to be kept incarcerated to prevent the horror he caused. Yet, he was released from prison early because of their disastrous policies:
The man, said to have been shot by Metropolitan Police officers, is confirmed dead.
Security sources have told Sky News they believe the attack was “Islamist” in nature, and he is believed to have been under active surveillance by police when he struck — which perhaps explains why their response to the attacks was so rapid, relatively speaking.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has responded to the attack on social media, thanking “all emergency services responding to the incident in Streatham, which the police have now declared as terrorism-related” and offering his “thoughts are with the injured and all those affected.”
Reports indicate the suspected Islamist terrorist who stabbed people in Streatham, London, had been convicted of terrorism offences previously but was freed from prison early.See, this is exactly the problem. If genuine life sentences - and even death sentences - aren't handed out to violent offenders such as the jihadist who attacked people in Streatham, then nothing proper's been done to prevent terrorism from occurring. It's good that Brexit's been performed for real, but far more needs to be done in Britain to prevent terrorism from taking place. They also have to legalize self-defense again, including gun permits.
Sudesh Amman, 20, who wounded two people — one of whom is in life-threatening condition — “had been released from prison at the end of January, after serving half of his three year sentence” according to a BBC report. [...]
Releasing convicts serving non-life, so-called determinate sentences halfway through their terms, automatically, is standard practice in the United Kingdom, with few exceptions. [...]
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said his government will reveal a blueprint for “fundamental changes to the system for dealing with those convicted of terrorism offences” on Monday.
The Tory leader has already pledged to make “serious” terrorists and other violent and/or sexual criminals serve their sentences in full — although this falls far short of Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage’s call for terrorists to be given whole-life sentences.
Standard “life” sentences in Britain typically see the convict paroled after 10-15 years.
