The teacher who was beheaded in a street in France had received threats after showing controversial cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad to his pupils, French media report.Forget it, the imam's continued adherence to the Religion of Peace only prolongs the situation. At least 11 people were arrested in connection with this tragedy, that's now prompted solidarity demonstrations with the victim:

Samuel Paty, a father, had taken a class about freedom of expression earlier in the month, reports say.
He is said to have shown the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad while talking about the Charlie Hebdo case, and had reportedly advised Muslim students to leave the room if they thought they might be offended.
Some Muslim parents complained to the school and at least one reportedly took to social media to call for Mr Paty’s sacking. French media report that Mr Paty had received a number of unspecified threats in the days after taking the class [...]
Muslim leaders in France also condemned the attack. “A civilisation does not kill an innocent person, barbarism does,” Tareq Oubrou, imam of a mosque in Bordeaux, told France Inter.
Demonstrations around France have been called in support of freedom of speech and to pay tribute to a French history teacher who was beheaded near Paris after discussing caricatures of Islam’s Prophet Muhammad with his class. With any luck, she'll be in hell along with him. This is what happens when nobody's willing to stand firm against evil.
Samuel Paty was beheaded on Friday by an 18-year-old Moscow-born Chechen refugee who was shot dead by police.
Political leaders, associations, and unions will demonstrate Sunday afternoon in Paris and in other major cities including Lyon, Toulouse, Strasbourg, Nantes, Marseille, Lille, and Bordeaux.
The gatherings come as French authorities say they have detained a 10th person following the horrific incident.
French anti-terrorism prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard said an investigation for murder with a suspected terrorist motive was opened. At least four of those detained are family members of the attacker, who had been granted a 10-year residency in France as a refugee in March, was armed with a knife and an airsoft gun, which fires plastic pellets.
His half-sister joined the Islamic State group in Syria in 2014, Ricard said. He didn’t give her name, and it is not clear where she is now.
