Rashida Tlaib opposes unity
Wouldn't you know it, if there's any Democrat who's against unity, it's the Muslim Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib:
Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) rejected calls from within her party to curb progressive sloganeering such as “defund the police,” asserting that such calls amounted to “silencing” her and her voters.Well all that crude sloganeering really hurt their electoral chances, so much that in Michigan, they've been trying to prevent John James from being elected to Senate. All of which sadly means nothing to Tlaib, who so far appears to have sadly been reelected in Minnesota. She is so disgusting.
Tlaib pushed back against the calls to moderate in an interview with Politico on Tuesday. Moderates in the party have blamed poor results in a number of close races, with several incumbent Democrats losing to their GOP challengers, on the extreme stances of many prominent Democrats such as Tlaib and New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
