Broward County sheriff hosted ostensible 911 memorial service with radical Islamists
Embattled Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony, according to reports, is under investigation for alleged drug use and a shooting death that transpired, when Tony was in his early teens. He is facing potential removal from his position by the Florida Governor. Something that the Sheriff was involved with, this past month, though – a ‘9/11 Memorial’ hosted by him that included several radical members of the Muslim community – is as well of concern and, as such, should also be investigated and considered evidence for removal. This is all stuff you don't see neither leftist Jewish groups nor leftist LGBT groups saying a word about. Because they're really only in the business to undermine conservative values. And to think we wondered why the quality of living standards had fallen so drastically.
[...] Last month, Sheriff Tony hosted a ‘Unity in Faith Prayer Breakfast and 9/11 Memorial.’ According to Tony’s Facebook page, the event “joined BSO and the community to pray and honor the men and women who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.” He writes, “We will never forget.” What is strange about these words is that they sit above a photo of the Sheriff bowing his head in prayer with an imam, Shafayat Mohamed, of a mosque that has been a haven for several high-profile al-Qaeda terrorists.
Mohamed is the founder/imam of the Darul Uloom Institute (DUI). There, he taught classes to convicted terrorist “Dirty Bomber” Jose Padilla, who was accused of plotting to detonate a radiological bomb inside the US. Al-Qaeda commander Adnan El-Shukrijumah was a prayer leader at DUI. DUI Arabic teacher Imran Mandhai, Hakki Aksoy and Shueyb Mossa Jokhan hatched a plot at DUI to blow up South Florida power plants and a National Guard armory. Mohamed claimed one of the 9/11 hijackers may have prayed at DUI. And Mohamed, himself, was thrown off a number of Broward County boards for his hateful rhetoric against gays.
Also attending and posing for photos with the Sheriff were the President and Operations Manager of the South Florida Muslim Federation (SFMF), respectively Samir Kakli and Gibson Lopez. SFMF is an umbrella group for South Florida’s many radical Muslim institutions. This past May, Kakli posted on Facebook that Israel is the “world’s leading terrorist organization” and helped lead a rally, where he and others called for Israel’s destruction. In October 2020, Kakli called for the release of leaders of the Holy Land Foundation (HLF), who were convicted of fundraising for Hamas, and in June 2020, he promoted the Palestinian “Day of Rage.”
The sheriff should definitely be expelled from his position for associating with horrific activists who desecrate the memory of 911 victims. This, along with the alarming revelations about his behavior while in his teens, is reason to ensure he'll be disbarred from the legal and justice system.
