The winner of the Israeli Youth Bible Contest on Independence Day is...
As the State of Israel celebrates its 75th Independence Day, the International Youth Bible Contest took place for the 60th time in Jerusalem. For many women, this should be great news. But, it's regrettably unlikely that somebody like her will ever be considered a figure for International Women's Day, let alone Mother's Day, in an era where transsexual men are considered superior to women in every way, shape and form. That's why it's vital for those who care to congratulate women studying Torah as much as politicians and showbiz actresses.
The contest was presented by Guy Zuaretz, and among those present are Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana, Education Minister Yoav Kisch, and Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion.
At the end of the contest, Emuna Cohen won first place, followed by Netta Laks in second place. Cohen is an 11th-grade student at Ulpanat Baharan in Gedera, while Laks is an 11th-grade student at Shirat Hayam in Neve Tzuf.
Update: for anybody interested in plane pictures, here's some photos of Israeli Air Force craft flying for the occasion.
Update 2: also for the occasion, a huge mural dedicated to Israel was unveiled in Mexico and will be displayed at the Ben-Gurion airport too.
