IDF enters Gaza to conduct "localized" raids
Israel has reportedly conducted “localized raids” in Gaza against Palestinian terrorists and launched strikes against Hezbollah sites in Lebanon as part of the Jewish state’s ongoing response to Hamas’s terror attack that claimed the lives of 1,300 people and wounded 3,000 more. This is good for a starter, and they're wise to keep an eye on Lebanon's Hezbollah overlords too. It's been reported that a Hamas leader has been slain:
“We’re just learning this right now, breaking. The IDF tells Fox News that Israeli forces entered the Gaza Strip today, both infantry forces and tanks, to conduct localized raids,” Fox News’s foreign correspondent Trey Yingst reported. “This was not the full-scale invasion that everyone is still anticipating, but it was an effort, according to the Israeli military, to eliminate militants along the border and also to gather information on those held hostage inside the Gaza Strip.”
“It appears those raids were successful,” he added.
Additionally, Israeli forces are said to be conducting fresh drone strikes against Hezbollah sites in Lebanon, according to the Times of Israel. There are very few details about the development that are known at this time.
Israel announced that it killed Ali Qadi, a Hamas commander who spearheaded the mass terrorist attack on Israel on Oct. 7, according to a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday.Good riddance. Hopefully, the IDF will be dealing with the tunnel systems that were built in Gaza too, because those too are very dangerous parts of the Hamas' terrorist activities.
Qadi led Hamas forces in a brutal terrorist attack against Israel that resulted in the deaths of over 1,300 Israelis and the kidnapping of hundreds more. The IDF and the Israel Security Agency (also known as Shin Bet) confirmed that it killed Qadi on Saturday, as well as Merad Abu Merad, head of the Hamas aerial system, according to The Jerusalem Post.
“Ali Qadi led the inhumane, barbaric October 7 massacre of civilians in Israel. We just eliminated him,” the IDF said in a statement on Saturday. “All Hamas terrorists will meet the same fate.”
Update: the prime minister visited communities near Gaza.
