Maine's electorate lost their moral compass

Over in Bangor, Maine, a woman who'd committed manslaughter was elected to city council, her offensive past act notwithstanding:
With this kind of election result in Maine, there's no telling if they're an area worth visiting anymore.
Voters in Maine elected a woman for city councilor who was previously found guilty and served time for manslaughter.I've wondered for almost a quarter century what kind of twisted people dwell in a state like Maine, recalling a most repugnant man I once encountered online who may have been a Bar Harbour resident, and who defended the perpetrators of the bloodbath at Columbine, Colorado. He also turned out to be a PLO supporter, and this was after September 11, 2001. One can only wonder what such a creep thinks of the victims of 911 by extension, seeing how he desecrated the memory of the Columbine victims, and practically erased them altogether.
Angela Walker, who was successfully elected in Bangor, Maine, on Tuesday, is making headlines after the surprising election results. Walker was convicted in 2003 in connection with the killing of Canadian tourist Derek Rogers, who had allegedly called her a racist name.
Walker and her brother, Benjamin Humphrey, pled guilty to the crime. [...]
Of the three councilors elected, Walker received the fewest votes, but her election was still shocking to many.
With this kind of election result in Maine, there's no telling if they're an area worth visiting anymore.
