Tel-Chai Nation

Israel, much like the fortress of Tel-Chai that Jospeh Trumpeldor fought to defend against Arab conquerors in 1920, finds itself beseiged by enemies both within and without. Terrorists, would-be friends inside and outside Israel, and even bad government officials. Here are the discussions of one proud Zionist resident on the state of the nation and abroad.

The Times of Israel has a report (with bias included, as surely expected) about a movement that's dedicated to helping men overcome homosexuality:
Last month, “Shai” called a hotline run by Hosen, an Israeli organization which claims to aid young men — primarily from religious or traditional backgrounds — struggling with their sexual identity. Shai’s call was answered by a pleasant young operator named Barak.

“We are a hotline for people with reversed inclinations who want guidance,” he explained to Shai, who comes from a traditional home. The words “conversion therapy” were not mentioned and remained absent from each subsequent conversation. Instead, Shai was introduced to a colorful range of alternative vernacular describing the process offered by Hosen, including “the changing of sexual preference,” “sexual reorientation,” and therapy for the aforementioned “reversed inclinations.”

“I wanted you to help me with… instead of the way it’s been up until now, with men, I want it to be like that with women. The question is — is it possible?” Shai asked Barak, who quickly assured him that he had come to the right place, and that there is a solution.
Indeed, there is, and one way is to make sure they don't engage in bizarre censorship like what several Haredi clans do, almost entirely eliminating women from photographs in press publications and such, acting as though women's beauty and sexuality is literally a bad thing, telling their subjects not to look at women, and telling them not to even listen to a woman sing, among other such embarrassingly bad notions, as an IDF chaplain did 3 years ago, and this indoctrination also produced a number of soldiers who turned their backs to a lady IDF instructor 2 years ago as well, which is no way to study a crucial lesson in paratrooping. I've been pondering this approach with religion over the years, and have figured it's entirely possible it's caused more homosexuality than one could expect (here's an example of Haredis whose approach with their daughter most likely turned her lesbian, and it's possible such mentality led to this case of a former Haredi man becoming a transvestite too).

So in other words, religious advocates are going to have to consider they may have unwittingly bred a whole generation of golems over time, and because they ostensibly don't support homosexuality, the screwed up subjects end up turning against them as a result. One of the reasons they could support anti-Israelism and anti-semitism. That's why religious advocates for Judaism, and come to think of it, any religion that claims to respect heterosexuality cannot order or indoctrinate their subjects to ignore the opposite sex, in both sight and sound. Come to think of it, they can't demand dress codes either. What's needed is proper sex education. I think it's entirely possible to work things out with the right science for the better, and hope religious advocates consider that.
