Muslims in USA turning to Republicans because Democrats seemingly don't support their values

This is rather odd news, but shouldn't be taken at face value:
The Republican Party continued to gain more support from Muslim Americans in the 2022 midterm election as members of the community have rallied around parental rights and removing sexually explicit content from schools.

In the 2022 midterm election, Muslims shifted towards the right, with 28% of Muslim voters voting Republican, an 11% increase from the previous 2018 midterms, according to Wall Street Journal exit polling. Parts of the Muslim community saw their values, such as parental rights in education and social conservatism, align more with the GOP platform, activists, community members and politicians told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

“There’s lots of conversation in circles, in group chats, at the local mosques and cafes, that although we don’t fit the Democratic or Republican template, we do align more with the social-conservative values, the family values, that are more to the right,” Hassan Chami, a Muslim parent and political activist in Dearborn, Michigan, told the DCNF. “This idea of being accepted by the left as a minority, I don’t think it’s gonna last too much longer because the entire agenda and progressive policies oppose our faith A to Z. It makes us compromise our beliefs.”
I must admit, it's actually surprising the leftists in Michigan would want to push that stuff at schools where Muslim students learn, because, at least until recently, they'd usually be the exception to what the left wants to impose.

Yet does that mean the leftists will keep it up for long, if the Islamic community in the USA doesn't want this? Of course not. Those ideologues they consider allies aren't the groups whose backing they want to lose at ease. Either way, the whole notion these Islamic Dearborn citizens are saints is definitely ludicrous, and no matter where they stand on the issue, that doesn't mean we should excuse or overlook their adherence to an atrocious religion built on violence towards Blacks, Jews, women, along with terrorism and "honor murders".

I noticed this PJ Media report say the following:
During the stream, while I was watching the meeting and chatting with the audience, more than a few people made comments like, “I’d wear a hijab if it meant we never had to see these books again.” People are longing for someone to take the reins and pull the horses to an abrupt halt. Christians, while they mean well, don’t seem to have the male strength out front that is needed. Instead, we have moms. And moms are great. It was a mom who started this fire in Dearborn. Stephanie Butler is the one who blew the whistle, and she is facing serious heat, like doxing and internet mobs coming after her job.
On the subject of doxxing, I must take a moment to say I'm truly sorry Mrs. Butler fell victim to something that obscene and criminal. It shows just how bad the LGBT activists and their sympathisers can be. But what's this about willingness to wear hijabs? This is insulting and offensive in the extreme to all women who don't want to wear it and shouldn't have to. Such outfits hurt women and cause osteoporosis. And above all, it makes it look like a woman's body is filthy and abominable, rather than a gift of beauty God gave them. Regrettably, these are bound to be very ill-informed families living in Dearborn, whom you couldn't possibly expect to comprehend anything about the Religion of Peace that nearly cost Salman Rushdie his life a few months ago.

According to this report, parents are suing the school board in Dearborn for all these atrocities. Well, good luck. But while LGBT propaganda is unacceptable, so too is the Religion of Peace, and we shouldn't let our judgements be clouded just because the situation regarding LGBT propaganda is as dire as it is now.
