Two young girls, ages two and three, were found dead in a home in the city of Lakewood, New Jersey last night (Tuesday), NBC New York reported.It's been confirmed the mother's been arrested for the crime:
Medical teams were summoned to the scene, but the toddlers could not be revived.
A woman has been taken into custody on suspicion of committing the double murder. It is unclear if the woman is the children's mother or if she is even related to them.
According to sources familiar with the investigation, the children were murdered through a combination of stabbing and drowning in a bathtub.

Now 2 girls have lost their lives to a so-called mother who made herself look as obscene as any Muslim mother who ever did the same by performing honor murders. On which note, it's also angering how horror stories like this one only serve as distractions from issues like Islamofascism. Let's hope the "mother" gets a severe punishment for taking the lives of 2 innocent girls who could've grown up to be inspiring members of wider society if given the chance.
Naomi Elkins was taken into custody Tuesday night and charged with two counts of murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to a press release from Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer.

She also claimed to police that she murdered her children "for religious reasons." Jewish law does not allow, or demand, the murder or maiming of children; the Bible explicitly warns against this.She may be mentally ill, but what's truly repulsive is that she may have been influenced by Islam. It's sickening to think about.
