IRIS Blog discovers that Ahmadinejad, the dictator of Iran, has met with Hamas leaders in Damascus.
It's apparent by now that indeed, the groundswork has been laid out for a third world war with the west, and Iran's reliance on the Hamas/PLO is just one more part of the Islamic world's plans for war. And that's exactly why now, unity is needed in order to put a stop to the new threat of war that's upon us.
While on the subject of the Hamas, Steven Plaut (also via IRIS Blog) argues that it can be a good thing, since it helps to send a wake-up call to the Israeli-Jewish public. See also this article, which discusses the Hamas' pledge to form a larger army with which to continue their jihad against Israel.
As for the IDF, it looks like they're embarrassed over their failure to predict the victory of the Hamas in the PLO's elections.
