Muttonheaded Manimals and Asinine Automen

Ace of Spades points to a real laugh riot of a bad TV series. It's called Manimal, and lasted about 6-7 episodes when it aired in 1983. One of the most awful howlers I had the misfortune of stumbling over when I was a tot, the death knells it got were the unexplained "plots" which outweighed even the bad "special effects."

And that's not the only one. Even Automan, cited by one of the commentors, was a pretty lame series that aired the same year, with holes that a herd of elephants could march through. Simply hilarious.

I'm not sure if that many people ever discussed it, but both shows were put out by the same producer. Which makes it double the joke to his credits.
