Leftists have little or no problem with their own going homophobic

Alex Baldwin launched a crazy tirade against a gay British journalist who he felt was unfair to his wife. While he apologized for that, the big difference here is that, because he's a boilerplate liberal, moonbat outfits like GLAAD are otherwise willing to give him a free pass because of his political standing, proving that they're really only in the activist business for the sake of demonizing conservatives and Judeo-Christians.

It's worth noting the following:
Let's not forget how GLAAD handled CNN anchor Roland Martin's case. Martin, who is black, was castigated by GLAAD for a series of Tweets regarding a soccer player that were likely meant as humorous, not mean spirited.

Martin apologized. He also lost his job at CNN thanks, in part, to pressure from groups like GLAAD.
For a group that's oh-so concerned about discrimination against gays and lesbians, they seem to have no problem discriminating against blacks.

Not everyone on the left is happy about the lenient approach to Baldwin. Andrew Sullivan, that former employee of the New Republic, said he shouldn't get a free pass, but that's what he's getting. And Baldwin, in his attempt to say he's sorry, attacked the Tea Party, probably his way of making a goodwill gesture to the left. So he's sorry he wrote a homophobic rant, yet he's not sorry for insulting the Tea Party? How hypocritical of him.
