US Congressmen condemn EU's hostile policy to Israel
A group of pro-Israel congressmen condemned on Friday the European Union's directive banning subsidies to Israeli organizations in territories captured in the Six-Day War of 1967.Honestly, they have no intention of joining in serious negotiations, and whatever John Kerry's planning, it's not worth the effort.
"The heads of the bipartisan Congressional Israel Allies Caucus have written the European Union foreign policy chief expressing 'deep concern' over the EU’s intention to ban funding to Israeli institutions in the West Bank and east Jerusalem, and urging the EU to revisit the decision," according to a press release.
"We strongly believe this move is counterproductive to sincere American efforts to restart peace talks between the Israelis and Palestinians," the congressmen wrote. The new guidelines will only serve as a disincentive for the Palestinian Authority to engage in serious final status negotiations.
