Harper-Collins apologizes for publishing map erasing Israel

The book publisher issued a map they were going to sell to Muslim countries hostile to Israel, which caused outrage. Fortunately, they've listened to reason and withdrawn it:
HarperCollins is pulling its Middle East Atlas from sale in all territories, and has apologized for leaving Israel off the map, while distinctly leaving an enlarged Jordan and including Gaza.I find it extremely dismaying how some western companies go out of their way sell products to countries with bigoted mindsets and policies, even at the cost of morale. Money isn't everything, and they should be able to figure that out on their own.
The company said that all remaining HarperCollins Atlas’s not yet sold will be pulped.
HarperCollins initially explained that “local preferences” of the Gulf State countries took precedence over including Israel on the map, something their Arab customers found “unacceptable.”
The decision to omit Israel elicited a tremendous amount of anger online.
