Young soldier murdered by terrorist in Arad
An IDF soldier was stabbed to death in Arad:
A 19-year-old Israeli was stabbed to death at a bus station in the southern city of Arad on Thursday night in what police say appears to have been a terror attack.As noted by the Jerusalem Post, he was a soldier:
Police said officers were searching the area for two assailants who fled the scene and set up roadblocks and “heightened security measures” in the area. Helicopters were also taking part in the searches.
After completing an initial investigation, police said the stabbing appeared to be a terror attack.
“Following an initial investigation by police forces at the scene it appears that the motivation for the stabbing … was nationalistic,” police said in a statement.
Sgt. Ron Isaac Kukia, 19, was a member of the Nahal brigade, according to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit. He was a private before he was killed and raised posthumously to sergeant.Let's provide our condolences to the family. The worst thing about terror attacks like these is that the victims were also victim of a political system that won't do anything to put an end to Islamism, the motivation for the murder.
