A man claiming to be a woman who murdered his parents converted to Islam in prison, in what may be a vague parallel of what's going on in British prisons (via Jihad Watch). And one of the saddest parts besides that is how the newspaper conforms to pronoun propaganda despite all that:

A trans woman who copped to slaughtering her parents tried to skip out on her sentencing in a Utah court because it would be too tough on her — as she revealed that she has converted to Islam, and made an excuse for the cold-blooded murders on Friday.

“If only I had gotten help this would have been preventable,” said Mia Bailey’s lawyer — reading a statement she wrote.

Bailey, 30, was handed a sentence of 25 years to life in prison on Friday, after the court heard emotional testimony from both her brothers, who say they fear for their lives since their sibling gunned down both their parents in 2024.

Bailey appeared in a striped jumpsuit and said nothing during the hearing.

Prior to the sentencing, Bailey tried to skip the hearing, claiming she could have a mental breakdown from the stress of the hearing.

Her attorney, Ryan Stout, said Bailey had been previously diagnosed with ADHD, OCD, anxiety, depression, psychosis, possible bipolar with psychosis and schizophrenia.

“The most recent time she committed herself [to the hospital], she was discharged three days later, and 10 days later she murdered her parents,” Stout said during the hearing.

During her statement, she told the court she converted to Islam.

She also legally changed her name and sex about a year before the murders.

“Because of my religious beliefs as a Muslim, it would be appropriate to take my life for atonement for what I did,” said Bailey in the statement read by her attorney.

Obviously, this isn't somebody who's truly an authentic Islamist, because the belief in the Religion of Peace is that, if to commit suicide, it should be through murdering innocent people as suicide bombers did in past decades. In any case, this is a most disgusting moment where a LGBT practitioner makes clear that, if they're okay with barbarism, that's why they're okay with the Religion of Peace by extension, in a show of respect for one bad ideology by another. And then the New York Post makes things worse by still adhering to the belief of pretending that a man who claims he's a woman should be called just that, his heinous crime notwithstanding. It's disrespectful to the victims, and even to the man's family members whom he intimidated.
