USA military successfully captures Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores

The USA military launched a successful attack on Venezuela that resulted in the capture of both despot Nicolas Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores:

U.S. President Donald Trump announced Saturday morning that Venezuela’s socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores have been “captured and flown out of the country”, a message that came after a series of explosions hit Caracas.

“The United States of America has successfully carried out a large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who has been, along with his wife, captured and flown out of the Country. This operation was done in conjunction with U.S. Law Enforcement,” President Trump said in a Truth Social statement. He added that further details would follow at a press conference to be hosted later today at Mar-a-Lago. [...]

Maduro, who has maintained himself in power through a series of sham presidential elections, is actively wanted by U.S. authorities on multiple narco-terrorism charges. The U.S. has an active $50 million bounty on information leading to Nicolás Maduro’s arrest and/or conviction.

This is definitely a vital step in defeating totalitarian regimes, with only Islamofascist ones being easily worse than what Maduro set up. Although, it should be noted that he was cozy with said Islamofascists too, mainly Iran's, and if there's any Islamist in the USA who's siding with Maduro, it's none other than NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani:

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee responded Saturday night to New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani's expression of support for Venzuelan President Nicolás Maduro following the US' capture of Maduro and his wife.

"I pity ppl of NY for electing a mayor who sides with a drug trafficker & ally of Iran & Hezbollah rather than his constituents," Huckabee commented. "Will he & Sen Van Hollen go to Maduro's jail cell to sip margaritas for solidarity?"

Mamdani predictably whines about "international law", and his siding with Maduro certainly speaks volumes. Huckabee's point about NYC voters who brought Mamdani into office is correct; how could they do this? Sadly, this is just a bad taste of what else is to come from such an awful person as Mamdani is.

For now, it's good the USA military captured Maduro, because they can also now dismantle any Islamofascist presence in Venezuela while they're maintaining guard over the proceedings, until a valid government can be set up. But afterwards, Trump must prove he can also make efforts to capture Islamofascist dictators, if bringing them to trial is important.

Protests in Iran continue for 5th day

The uprising by Iranian citizens against the sharia overlords continues, now entering the 5th day (via Town Hall):

Protests in Iran entered a fifth consecutive day on Thursday, with demonstrations and clashes reported across Tehran and multiple provincial cities as authorities, state-linked media and rights groups cited additional deaths overnight.

According to Reuters, several people have been killed since the unrest escalated, based on reports from Iranian media and human rights groups. Iranian authorities have confirmed at least one death. Iran International said that seven protesters were killed by security forces, making Thursday the deadliest day of the protests so far.

Opposition group National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) told Fox News Digital in a statement that protests and street clashes continued Thursday morning in Tehran and in cities including Marvdasht, Kermanshah, Delfan and Arak, and claimed that two protesters were killed by direct fire in Lordegan. Fox News Digital could not independently verify the deaths.

The protests began on Sunday after shopkeepers and merchants demonstrated against soaring inflation, unemployment and the sharp depreciation of Iran’s currency. The unrest quickly spread beyond bazaars to include students and wider public demonstrations in cities across the country. [...]

President Donald Trump and other administration officials voiced support for the demonstrators this week. Speaking Monday, Trump pointed to Iran’s economic collapse and long-standing public discontent, while stopping short of explicitly calling for regime change.

Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, issued a statement on the continuing protests, noting: "The four-day uprising by merchants, students, and other sectors of society signals the Iranian people’s determination to be free from religious tyranny. This wretched regime is doomed to be overthrown by the risen populace and rebellious youth. The final word is spoken in the streets by the people and the rebellious youth, those with nothing left to lose. This regime must go."

Correct. And Trump did the right thing to voice support for the resistance.

I found and updated the template again, to something similar to the Forest Green template I had earlier

I searched around the web, and discovered the Rounders4 template originally developed 2 decades ago, which is similar to the Forest Green template I'd been using for 15 years or so from Gecko and Fly. After all these years, it's great to have discovered some early classics, and I guess for now, I'll make use of it.

I do miss the Forest Green template, which was one of the best drawing from what was originally offered by Typepad, and honestly, I hope it does become operable again someday, but for now, I found it great to discover this early template, which I can use in an "everything old is new again" way, and hope it'll work out in the long run. There may be a few parts I need to smooth out here, but overall, it works fantastically, and it's delightful to discover these classic early templates again, which were common years ago, and now can be great for use again today.

Zohran Mamdani sworn into NYC office on koran

NYC's first Muslim mayor was sworn into office, and perhaps unshockingly, on a koran instead of a bible:

Socialist Zohran Mamdani became mayor of New York City just after midnight Thursday, taking the oath of office as he placed his hand on the Islamic Quran in a private ceremony.

In doing so Mamdani, a Democrat, was confirmed as the first Muslim leader of America’s biggest city.

“This is truly the honor and the privilege of a lifetime,” the 34-year-old said in a brief speech, AP reports.

The strictly invitation-only gathering, overseen by New York Attorney General Letitia James, a political ally, took place at the old City Hall station, one of the city’s original subway stops known for its stunning arched ceilings.

Mamdani’s wife, the artist Rama Duwaji, held out the Quran over which Mamdani took his oath of office.

It's not hard to guess he had a private ceremony for starters because he didn't want any booing taking place if he did it publicly. That said, it's almost fitting the ceremony was held down in a subway station no longer in use, because that's where his whole agenda belongs. Down in the dumps. Also note, lest we forget, that he's the first politician in New York, if anywhere, who's been sworn into office on the koran itself.

Anyway, he's soon bound to cause disaster in more ways than meets the eye. He recently appointed Ramzi Kassem, a lawyer who defended one of al Qaeda's jihadists, to a prominent position on his staff. That's certainly another red flag. NYC faces dark days indeed.

Gigantic fraud scandal by Somalis across the USA

Over the past week, a huge scandal erupted where it was discovered that Somali Muslims committed financial fraud primarily in Minnesota, and many other individual states as well:

Citizen journalists and civic activists are spotlighting potential Somali fraud of taxpayer funding not just in Minnesota but in multiple states across the country.

Videos from Ohio, Maine, Pennsylvania, Washington State, and others, suggest that clannish Somalis across the country have replicated the alleged taxpayer fraud exposed in Minnesota’s childcare centers by citizen journalist Nick Shirley.

Unshockingly, various MSM "journalists" are spinning this as nothing more than Republicans seeking an opportunity to attack leftists over something. Well it goes without saying this is very serious, and makes clear it's time for these Somali Muslims to return to the country they came from, and not fleece the USA again. And of course, that's just the beginning of what bad things they've done in the USA, since there have been those who committed jihad too, and that's another something that cannot be put up with.

A columnist who takes a defeatist view on how to handle Syria, similar to Lebanon

Here's a writer named Jeff Crouere who apparently believes tyranny should be allowed to remain in place, much as it did in Lebanon, and even in Vietnam:

In his first term, President Donald Trump expressed a desire for our troops to leave Syria. Several years later, after another “ambush” attack on U.S. troops, it is time for our military to finally come home.

Recently, two U.S. Army National Guard soldiers from Iowa – Sgts. William Nathaniel Howard and Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar – and a civilian interpreter were killed in Palmyra, Syria. Three other U.S. soldiers, as well as two Syrian “security personnel,” were injured. President Trump is vowing “very serious retaliation” for the attack against Americans.

A member of the government’s “security forces” who had connections to the terrorist group, the Islamic State (ISIS), committed the “ambush.” According to Dr. Antonio Graceffo, national security analyst, writing in the Gateway Pundit, “An internal assessment on December 10 identified him as holding ‘extremist ideas,’ and his dismissal had been scheduled for Sunday, December 14. The attack occurred the day before, on Saturday, an administrative holiday.”

It is troubling that this individual was not removed immediately by Syrian officials after his terrorist sympathies were discovered. Their delay cost the lives of three American heroes.

Umm, isn't is rather obvious months ago that Ahmed al-Sharaa is as evil as they come, and a taqqiya specialist? This is why the Trump administration made a huge mistake doing a Faustian pact with him. But running away rather than taking down al-Sharaa along with the other monsters is defeatist, cowardly, and above all, a bad image for the USA. Crouere also says:

Another troubling development in Syria is the persecution of Christians. In 2011, 1.5 million Christians lived in Syria. Today, that total has dwindled to 300,000, and more are leaving every day.

The new regime has failed to protect Christians in Syria, described as “the cradle” of the faith, with 1st-century roots. For example, “in June 2025, a Christian church in Damascus was targeted in a suicide attack, which reportedly killed twenty-five people and injured sixty-three. It was reportedly the largest attack on Christians in Syria since 1860.”

For all these reasons and more, it is time that U.S. forces left Syria, a country in turmoil.

One can only wonder what he thinks of Europe's situation. Does that mean that Crouere has no worries about even Syria one day achieving what Iran did, in building nuclear weapons? Simply put, it's entirely possible, and aside from that, it doesn't sound like he believes any effort should be made to get Islamists to stop being Islamists, and stop worshiping the beliefs espoused in the koran. What is Mr. Crouere anyway, a Reagan-era propagandist? Such irresponsible people are exactly why Europe will be conquered, and the Islamofascists will achieve nuclear weapons on that very continent that'll eventually be used to attack the USA. Mr. Crouere is a disgrace, and people like him are precisely why the globe's being destroyed by the Religion of Peace he doesn't have the courage to clearly acknowledge is the problem.

New protests erupt in Iran as their currency value collapses

It looks like there might be a good omen on the horizon as Iran now sees protests from the public following the collapse of the rial, or at least that's how the MSM is trying to spin it all:

A second day of protests in Iran raged on Monday as demonstrators voiced anger over the rapidly falling value of the rial. Regime officials blamed the unrest and broader economic decline on “enemy psychological warfare.”

Shopkeepers in Tehran closed their stores, and mass demonstrations broke out in response to the rial’s fall. Clashes reportedly occurred across multiple streets in Tehran, with authorities using tear gas to disperse the protesters, according to footage of the events.

This article notes:

Iran’s largest protests in three years erupted Monday after the country’s currency plummeted to a record low against the U.S. dollar, and the head of the Central Bank resigned.

State TV reported the resignation of Mohammad Reza Farzin, while traders and shopkeepers rallied in Saadi Street in downtown Tehran as well as in the Shush neighborhood near Tehran’s main Grand Bazaar. Merchants at the market played a crucial role in the 1979 Islamic Revolution that ousted the monarchy and brought Islamists to power.

The official IRNA news agency confirmed the protests. Witnesses reported similar rallies in other major cities including Isfahan in central Iran, Shiraz in the south and Mashhad in the northeast. In some places in Tehran, police fired tear gas to disperse protesters.

Monday’s protests were the biggest since 2022, when the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Jina Amini in police custody triggered nationwide demonstrations. She was arrested by the country’s morality police for allegedly not wearing her hijab properly.

Wonder if any of those shopkeepers at the time ever regretted bringing the ayatollah Khomeini to power at the time? We can only hope this time, they'll actually fight against the Islamofascists.

Brigitte Bardot passes away at 91

The French actress who later became a political activist has died at 91:

Brigitte Bardot, the French screen legend who walked away from the film industry to support animal rights and lead opposition to open borders and mass immigration, has died. She was 91.

The Guardian reports Paris-born Bardot shot to international fame with the 1956 film And God Created Woman, written and directed by her then-husband Roger Vadim.

For the next two decades she embodied the idea of the archetypal “sex kitten.”

But what's amazing is that she did recognize the Muslim threat:

Bardot’s outspoken support of animal rights evolved into comments about ethnic minorities and open support for France’s Front National, resulting in a string of convictions for racial hatred.

Acknowledged as a symbol of woman’s liberation, Bardot told Le Figaro in 2015 she was against the Muslim face veil.

“Communitarianism takes on too much importance. It is the culmination of thirty years of laxity.”

A committed free speech activist, the actress faced trial five times between 1997 and 2008 for “inciting racial hatred” including for comments criticising mass Muslim immigration in France.

On one of these occasions, she was convicted for “decrying the loss of French identity and tradition due to the ‘multiplication of mosques while our church bells fall silent for want of priests’.”

She always maintained she simply respected the French way of life and sought to protect it and its inheritors.

Bardot was also a vocal opponent of Muslim halal slaughter, which often involves slaughtering an animal without stunning it, causing pain and distress before death.

And she also said years ago:

– “I am against the Islamisation of France! Our ancestors, our grandfathers, our fathers have for centuries given their lives to push out successive invaders.”

– “I like Marine (Le Pen, the leader of the French far-right) a lot. I won’t hide it. She is the only woman … who has balls.”

So much that the courts are now seeking to ban Le Pen from running in the next election. If there's anything we can appreciate from Bardot, it's that she was a realist on the topic of the Religion of Peace. And we should thank her by helping to defend her country from the Islamic invasion. No country should have to fall victim to such a horrific ideology.

About time: Trump administration attacks jihadists in Nigeria

Donald Trump's government has wisely launched an attack against jihadists like ISIS in Nigeria, in a mission to defend persecuted women and Christians:

President Donald Trump stated that, acting as Commander in Chief, he directed the United States to carry out a “powerful and deadly strike” in northwest Nigeria against ISIS terrorists, whom he identified as responsible for targeting and killing innocent Christians at historically severe levels.

On Christmas night, President Donald Trump announced:

“Tonight, at my direction as Commander in Chief, the United States launched a powerful and deadly strike against ISIS Terrorist Scum in Northwest Nigeria, who have been targeting and viciously killing, primarily, innocent Christians, at levels not seen for many years, and even Centuries!” Trump wrote:

I have previously warned these Terrorists that if they did not stop the slaughtering of Christians, there would be hell to pay, and tonight, there was. The Department of War executed numerous perfect strikes, as only the United States is capable of doing. Under my leadership, our Country will not allow Radical Islamic Terrorism to prosper. May God Bless our Military, and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all, including the dead Terrorists, of which there will be many more if their slaughter of Christians continues.

It's a vital first step, and must be followed up by making sure to conduct ground raids to rescue women who were taken hostage by the jihadists. What's more, the corrupted Nigerian government, now run by Islamofascists, must be declared illegitimate, and brought down. If Trump's willing to do that, it's an important step for his 2nd term as POTUS.
