Congress condemns Hamas' sexual violence

Capitol Hill passed a resolution condemning the sexual violence committed by Hamas:
The US House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a bipartisan resolution condemning Hamas terrorists’ use of rape and sexual violence as weapons of war during — and since — the group’s attacks in Israel on October 7, Fox News reported.

The resolution, introduced by Rep. Lois Frankel (D-FL) and endorsed by 200 co-sponsors from both sides of the aisle, passed in a vote of 418 to 0.

One lawmaker, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mi), voted "present."

"Our bipartisan resolution says it loud and clear: rape and sexual violence are crimes against humanity and should never be used or accepted as weapons of war,"
said Rep. Frankel.

The resolution "condemns all rape and forms of sexual violence as weapons of war, including those acts committed by Hamas terrorists" and calls on "all nations to criminalize rape and sexual assault, and hold accountable all perpetrators of sexual violence, including state and non-state armed groups."

It also calls on all international bodies to "unequivocally condemn the barbaric murder, rape, sexual assault, and kidnapping by Hamas and other terrorists" on and since October 7 and hold accountable all perpetrators."

It also reaffirms the United States Government’s support for independent, impartial investigations of rape and sexual violence committed by Hamas and reaffirms its commitment to supporting survivors of rape and sexual violence, including those brutalized on and since the October 7 attacks.

Tlaib, who is notorious for her anti-Israel actions and statements, said she was "disturbed" that the resolution "completely ignores and erases any sexual violence committed" allegedly committed by IDF troops. Those claims are unsubstantiated.
It's no shock Tlaib would do all she could to avoid taking the correct position when it comes to the issue of sexual violence, and even seek to make the IDF look like the villains instead. But it's still repulsive in the extreme, and failure by any Democrats to distance her from the party only speaks volumes.

In a related subject, victims of the October 7, 2023 bloodbath filed charges at the ICC against Hamas (via Breitbart):
The family members of hostages held captive by Hamas in Gaza formally submit[ted] their war crimes complaint against the terror group to the International Criminal Court [ICC] in The Hague.

“We came to demand justice. On the 7th of October we went through a second holocaust. These human monsters are the heirs of Hitler, Eichmann and Goebbels. They must be wiped out and the notion of collective death which they spread must be eliminated. History will not repeat itself, we are taking our fate into our hands and demanding the justice that we are owed,”
the Hostages and Missing Families Forum organization declares.

Several hundred people attend a rally staged by the forum outside the court amid the rain in the Dutch city, in which parents, siblings and children of the hostages, along with those who were released from Hamas’s captivity back in November, and survivors of the October 7 atrocities, address the crowd.
These Islamofascists are more than just heirs of National Socialists. They're also the heirs of prior Islamists in history like Muhammad and the caliph Omar. Not to mention the Turkish Ottoman empire. And a most troubling question in all this horror is, will anybody point out the Islamic connections to the tragedy?
