Melissa Gilbert continues to embarrass herself while Timothy Busfield's sexual abuse trial continues
The actress Melissa Gilbert, who's been standing by her 3rd husband Timothy Busfield despite the severe accusations against him, didn't please most people when she posted a video of herself dancing:
Timothy Busfield's wife, Melissa Gilbert, openly stayed by his side after his arrest on child sex abuse charges.I think when somebody makes use of a lyric with the word "bad", something's gone terribly wrong. Whatever she's thinking, it's nothing good.
After supporting her 68-year-old husband in court, her business went on as usual, including posting upbeat content online, but hasn't quite been getting a positive reaction. Melissa, 61, returned to working on her lifestyle brand, Modern Prairie, including crafting up someone Instagram videos for the Instagram. In fact, she even seemed unbothered as she posted a video of herself dancing.
She selected the song You Gotta Be by Des'ree, which includes lyrics like "You gotta be bad / You gotta be bold / You gotta be wiser / You gotta be hard / You gotta be tough / You gotta be stronger."
Melissa didn't elaborate in terms of what exactly in her life she was handling, but her recent appearance alongside her husband at court appeared to take a strain on her.Considering she ostensibly addressed serious issues before she closed down her Instagram page when it turned out her own hubby was a monster, that's exactly why what she's doing now is so insulting to the intellect. It's important to note that one of Busfield's earlier victims testified against him during the trial:
The comments weren't supportive of Melissa's casual approach to the burning issue. Critics attempted to shame her, calling her recent actions "embarrassing" and "delusional."
According to RadarOnline, Julie Roberts’ sister-in-law, Eliza Roberts, testified in a deposition in 1994. She accused Timothy of expressing a desire to perform oral sex on her. He allegedly insisted he’d be “so great in bed” and said his wife at the time was a “lousy f**k.” Timothy was married to his second wife, fashion designer Jenny Merwin, at that time, before they divorced in 2007. He married Melissa six years later. The ruling in the lawsuit can certainly make clear something was wrong with the whole picture, and Busfield should've been indicted. The past has caught up with him now, and his career gone down the drain, with only himself to blame for all the harm he caused over past years. As for Gilbert, she's not improving the situation at all, and should dance herself out of sight after acting as Busfield's apologist.
Eliza’s statement came two years after she married Julie’s brother Eric. At that time, she was supporting a 17-year-old girl who claimed Timothy sexually assaulted her on the film Little Big League set. Criminal charges were never filed in this alleged incident. Timothy, who denied the allegations, settled the Minnesota teen’s lawsuit for an undisclosed amount.
