Perhaps its time for most Jews in America to vote for the GOP

Democratic Senator Joe Lieberman from Connecticut lost the party primary, and now, it looks like he's quitting and running seperately on his own ticket.

The Astute Blogger thinks that Lieberman may have lost because the Dems are becoming more hostile to the Jewish community and to Israel. While this is a possibility, it should be noted that Lieberman himself isn't all that clean, since in the past decade, he actually supported Israeli withdrawals and in 2000, he met with the overlord of the Nation of Islam, Louis Farrakhan, in an attempt to get his support in the elections. Nevertheless, there could be something to the theory that Lieberman lost because the Dems are becoming less favorable to Jewish causes, and no matter what Lieberman's standings, it will not make them literally take sides with him in any cases.

And so, while I'm not blind to Lieberman, maybe he is better off breaking away from the Dems following this disastrous primary.

More coverage of this can be found at Hot Air, which liveblogged the election during the time it was held.

It astounds me that liberal Jews give a pass to many of their fellow liberal's anti-semetic comments. I just started working on my site last night. Thought you might want to check it out.
