It'd be wonderful if Neturei Karta left Israel because of Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem
The 'Neturei Karta' faction has threatened that its members may leave Israel as a result of US President Donald Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish state.Let's hope they do. They're even worse than the Satmar clan they spun out of, and have done a considerable amount of harm to Israel for many years. Their departure from Israel would be a great mercy upon us all.
Neturei Karta is a small, extremist haredi faction which opposes the existence of a Jewish state. The faction's support for the government of Iran in its calls for the destruction of Israel and for terrorist groups have led to its ostracization by the wider haredi community.
The sect had campaigned against the president's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Yoel 'Yoelish' Kraus, an anti-Zionist figure with ties to the Neturei Karta movement, told the Kikar Hashabbat Hebrew news site that the sect may "consider leaving the country" in light of the president's decision.
It remains to be seen where they'd go. England? Sweden? Or even Qatar and Dubai? Those would be great places for them, I figure, and they might as well start packing, because there's no place for them in a country believing in self-respect and dignity. The Karta kreeps won't be missed if they go.
