Haredi principal at girls' school accused of sexual abuse
Ultra-Orthodox educator Tzvia Rotenberg has been accused this week of sexual abuse by former students whom she taught while working at the Beit Yaakov Beit Yisrael girls' school in Jerusalem.I'm decidedly not highlighting the accusations here, because they are repulsive, but this is another example of same-sex assault that occurred within a Haredi community, and further confirms a psychologist's recent notes on how homosexual rape is rampant in these insular communities is indeed a serious problem. And it's similarly a problem when the principal remains head of the school she's working at. She should take some accountability and resign her position immediately, and the police should investigate.
[...] Rotenberg has denied all allegations and remains the principal of Maalot Beit Yaakov.
