It looks like the Catholic community in the USA is taking important steps, and following similar beliefs in Judaism that it's wrong to mutilate the human body for the sake of transsexuality, among other ideologies:

The United States Catholic Bishops have issued guidelines banning surgical and chemical intervention aimed at exchanging “the sex characteristics of a patient’s body for those of the opposite sex.”

In a March 20 “Doctrinal Note,” the bishops rule out certain forms of medical interventions in Catholic healthcare institutions such as puberty blockers and sex reassignment surgery, insisting that the[y] do not promote the authentic good of the human person but are, in fact, injurious.

Just like some rabbis have made clear, as noted previously. And they're right. It's bad enough the National Socialists of Germany during WW2 carried out horrific experiments on Jews, Gypsies and anyone else they hated. What's been occurring in the past decade is a horrifying legitimization of something no innocent children and women should have to suffer.
