Anti-LGBT rabbi in Mitzpe Ramon faces threats of violence

In the city of Mitzpe Ramon, an example of LGBT ideologues threatening Orthodox rabbis has turned up, and it's very serious:
Following threats and fear of violence against him ahead of the parade on Friday in Mitzpe Ramon and the protest rally that will be held today (Thursday) against the parade, a security detail was attached to Rabbi Zvi Kostiner, head of the Mitzpe Ramon yeshiva.

In the meantime, Rabbi Yigal Levinstein, the head of the Eli seminary, announced a short while ago that he will come to the pro-family rally today at Mitzpe Ramon. He is expected to give a speech, in addition to Rabbi Zvi Kostiner and a number of other rabbis and public figures.

Mitzpe Ramon has become the main arena of the struggle between the LGBT organizations and their opponents, and tonight and tomorrow significant friction is expected in the city.

In a special letter sent to the commander of the police station in Mitzpe Ramon, the members of the religious community in the city demand significant police security for the pro-family rally that is planned for today (Thursday).

Israel National News has learned that the organizers of the pro-family rally are receiving many threats, and according to them there have already been incidents of violence against people who expressed opposition to the LGBT agenda.

In the letter they sent to the commander of the local police station, they demand significant security for the rally they will hold and explain that while hundreds of policemen will secure the "Pride Parade" in the city, the rally will be secured by far fewer policemen, despite the fact that the threats and violence are directed against them, while they explicitly tell all members of the community to avoid any confrontation and stay away from the Pride Parade.
If the police haven't provided much security for the pro-family rally, that's very grave, and they're going to have to apologize for their cowardice, which has practically led to the following:
Moti Yacovi, one of the organizers of the events for the family in the city, says: "Just a few days ago, a violent LGBT activist severely bit Gali Bat-Horin, who was giving a talk about family values. Dozens of activists stood at the entrance to the event and tried to disrupt it by force. On the other hand, conferences they hold in the city on a daily basis pass quietly and without any confrontation."

Efrat Ziv, a resident of the city, says: "Since that conversation of Gali Bat-Horin in which we were met with blatant suppression, we have not stopped feeling hostility and violence directed towards us: a boycott of a business owner who refused to sponsor them, the said biting incident, curses and slurs on the streets and on the internet. I don't understand why it is forbidden to think differently from them, what is the great fear that causes such suppression? This violence and fear only make us steadfast in our position and continue to cry out loudly for the entire people of Israel."

One of the organizers of the protest says that the protest expanded far beyond the borders of the religious nucleus. Dozens of non-religious residents turned to him and the other organizers, asking for signs with messages in favor of the traditional family unit and in favor of the right to express a free opinion, and he added that whoever walks around Mitzpe Ramon will see that in all the streets there are many signs in favor of the family and against LGBT suppression.
Those LGBT activists who support violence against anybody who dares oppose their beliefs should be ashamed of themselves for the damage they're leading to. The business owner whom they boycotted did the right thing to avoid anything to do with them. Such perverts shouldn't be associated with.

In a related subject, there's a non-profit that's offering a new type of "conversion therapy":
Rabbi Zvika Dentalsky, chairman of the Hosen nonprofit for helping individuals with unwanted homosexual leanings, explains the meaning of the conversion therapies that are causing and have caused an uproar around the very existence of the conference, and what the treatment advocated by him and therapists like him actually is.

Conversion therapies, says Rabbi Dentalsky, were indeed in the last century in various mental therapies and behavioral therapies whose purpose is to lead the person to a certain goal without regard to the dignity of the patient. Among these were difficult behavioral treatments, drugs, chemical castration, electric shock and other abusive treatments that do not include listening to the patient's soul and aspirations, or which had offensive and violent techniques that no longer exist.

Compared to these methods, "We offer a meeting between the therapist and the patient as is customary in any other field, where the patient is the one who dictates the pace of the treatment, the subject of the treatment and the goal of the treatment. The therapist does not set as a goal to make the patient straight, and is not willing do everything in the name of this ambition. Here the patient comes with a desire of his own, the therapist listens to his wishes and goes with him step by step, and if at any stage of the treatment the patient wants to stop, the therapist has no objections."

Regarding the opposition to this type of treatment, Rabbi Dentalsky says that in order to prevent even thinking in this direction of treatment, boycotts and denunciations are rained down, as was the case with the entire conference, and anyone who seeks to help patients is defined as a traitor. This is while "the same people are very much in favor of transgender surgeries, which is not treatment by talking to a psychologist, but taking puberty blockers, excessive drugs, cutting organs, breast augmentation or hair extensions, terrible things that have far-reaching consequences and they are carried out at a very young age, before the boys truly understand them. Now the chief social worker of the Ministry of Welfare wants to expropriate children from their parents if they refuse to allow surgery for children at the age of 14, which is ridiculous."
If any employee of the welfare ministry's taking part in this perversion and abuse, they must be dismissed immediately. This news will only make it even more difficult to help Haredi community members who want to leave to do so, because what if the social workers in question want to indoctrinate their children into performing horrors upon themselves?
"We," says Rabbi Dentalsky, "are only talking about talking, from person to person, up to the age of 18 with the approval of the parents and over the age of 18 with the approval of the person himself, and without any coercion, substances or chemical castration. The LGBT organizations are afraid that people will hear that this is normal treatment for everything and be interested."

In his words, Rabbi Dentalsky clarifies that there is no attempt to claim that a certain sexual attraction is a disease. Rather, it is a matter of responding to a patient's desire to find out his sexual orientation and any conclusion can come from such an inquiry. In his words, he does not deny that as an observant person, the desire is for the blessing to come in a relationship between a man and a woman, but if this does not help, "then no," as he put it.

In his words, Rabbi Dentalsky rejects the claim that sexual identity cannot be changed. He tells about hundreds that he knows whose identity was changed in order to establish a family of a father and a mother, although there are few studies on this since many researchers prefer not to deal with the issue in order not to become embroiled in a debate.

"Psychologists know that sexual orientation is a flexible thing. There is a lot of research evidence for this, but it does not fit in their agenda. Whoever feels they have a problem and wants to come to our organization and therapists is welcome. Whoever is not bothered by this, let him continue his life. I have never approached anyone to see us. If you are not comfortable with your inclination, please, there is something to be done about it, but if not, go on living your life."
Personally, I think a worthwhile way of helping a man feel sexual attraction to women is to hire a lady who'll make love with him. Have any rabbinical services ever considered that? Let's hope they do, because who's to say it couldn't have interesting potential?

Update: here's a report on the family march itself:
Hundreds of people participated this evening (Thursday) in a series of events to strengthen family values in Mitzpe Ramon.

The events took place in preparation for the "Pride Parade" which is scheduled to be held in the city on Friday and which is the event that marks the end of "Pride Month". In recent years, Mitzpe Ramon has become a scene of struggle between the LGBT organizations and their opponents, in light of the fact that the city has become home to some of the largest LGBT organizations in Israel.

The family values event began with a march and bicycle parade by the children of the community, continued with a gathering and dancing in the streets of the city, and ended with a series of speeches by rabbis and public figures.

Rabbi Yigal Levinstein, the head of the Eli premilitary academy, commented: "This is the beginning of a revolution in the people of Israel. Until a community keeps its head up and stands tall in its own sanctity, we cannot begin the change."

Rabbi Zvi Kostiner, head of the Hesder yeshiva in the city, added, "There are those who say it is not possible. On the other hand, we say that the sanctity of the family is possible. It is possible! All humanity means family. The people of Israel are more than that: Honor your father and your mother. This is the root. Wherever possible, with great love for every Jew, explain the simplest points."

Rabbi Kostiner's viewpoints on the matter have led to numerous threats against him, to the point where he has needed an armed security detail.

Michael Foa, the chairman of the Choosing Family movement who participated in the event, said: "A light of hope appeared today in Mitzpe Ramon. In the face of the movement of despair and dissolution, brave people stood up who said 'enough of being silent'. Faced with the encouragement of the trafficking of women through surrogacy and the trafficking of children through sperm banks, the moral voice arose that says every child deserves a distinct father and mother. This voice will bring good to the world and win."
The folks are doing the right thing to organize a rally against LGBT propaganda in this particular city. And a good way to really put their points across is to make sure they respect women's rights, including their right to wear what they want, in example.
