Armenian and Latino parents clash with Antifa and Glendale school board over LGBTQ indoctrination
Tensions boiled over Tuesday night outside a California school board meeting where officials were discussing efforts to celebrate Pride month, with parents and activists squaring off against masked Antifa members. If police acted more against the Armenians than the Antifa creeps, that's telling something about how crapped up California is today.
The clash came outside the Glendale Unified School District’s headquarters, where parents, many from the Los Angeles County city’s Armenian and Hispanic communities, were blasting board members for promoting a pro-LGBTQ agenda to young children. Other speakers, including a man in a skirt and high heels, showed up in support of the district’s pro-Pride agenda, according to reports.
“All of these fake people [pointing to several masked crowd members] are going to go away, and we’re going to vote every one of you [pointing to the school board] out,” one father warned, according to The Daily Signal.
The issue has roiled the district in recent days, with many parents, including those from ethnic communities, pulling their children out of school in protest. Some elementary schools only had a 40% attendance rate on June 2, The Daily Signal reported.
Outside the meeting Tuesday, three people were arrested as parents confronted members of Antifa clad in masks and pink bandanas. It was not known who was arrested, but Glendale Police said the suspects “exceeded the bounds of peaceful assembly” and blamed “agitators” for sparking the confrontation outside.
“I graduated from Glendale in ‘96, and I have two daughters,” one father told the board. “My daughter is afraid to change in the locker room because she knows another guy could come into the room. When I asked the principal, he told me there were no cross-gender bathroom policies.”See, this is another valid reason to oppose what the school's doing, and the principal should be ousted and arrested for refusal to ensure the girls' safety. Some parents gave a description of what went on that day:
Three people were arrested outside the Glendale Unified School District’s headquarters when parents concerned about sexual and LGBT curriculum content clashed with Antifa activists. The school refuses to be transparent about the garbage they're foisting upon children, and to make matters worse, one of the teachers made a most racially disparaging statement:
Families of kids in the district, particularly the Armenian American and Hispanic communities, planned Tuesday’s protest after months of demonstrating and speaking out at school board meetings.
The parents are calling for more transparency and an end to certain LGBT curriculum and policies that they say are at least completely age-inappropriate.
“It’s just been parents asking for transparency, parents asking for rights, parents asking to stop certain curriculum K through 8th grade, and it’s basically like talking to a wall,” Arno, the father of a child in kindergarten in the district, told The Daily Wire.
Arno said he has been a Glendale resident for 35 years and attended district schools.
“We have the right to teach our kids what we want, and the curriculum that’s basically being shoved down our parents’ throats and our kids’ throats is against our morals, it’s against our values, and it’s against a lot of people’s religious beliefs,” Arno said.
Another father named Ervin, who has two children in the district, said he recently inquired about an upcoming lesson on LGBT topics and Pride month, and the school said he had to physically go to the school to view the content.
Inside at the meeting, one teacher who supports LGBT themes in the curriculum and described herself as an advocate for transgender youth, singled out Armenian parents specifically. Now that was most severely incendiary and uncalled for. Jewish Americans hopefully recognize how offensive it'd be if this abominable blather were said about them. That "teacher" owes a serious apology, and she probably won't ever offer any.
“Armenians talk about the genocide that they received,” the teacher said. “But they don’t want to talk about the indigenous genocide in 1850, and the lack of reparations for indigenous and black people in this country,” the teacher said.
This looks like the beginning of serious clashes between Armenian/Latino communities and Antifa, along with the school boards themselves, and let's hope the parents stand firm on these issues to protect their children.
