Anybody putting their career above common sense is not suited to defend Israel
Media personality Ofira Asayag criticized the globally acclaimed Israeli actress, Gal Gadot, for a now-deleted Instagram story where she condemned the loss of innocent lives on both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.Somehow, I doubt that was the case. If estimates are correct, she failed to unambiguously condemn the Hamas for putting any innocent lives on their side in danger, let alone for gunning them down for trying to leave the Gaza strip. And representing Israel worldwide doesn't work if she can't show the courage needed to call a spade a spade.
In response, Gadot sought to address the situation and clarify that her words had been misconstrued.
In her posted story, the actress said, "Ofira, my love, I'm sorry if my words were not understood as I intended. All I want is to represent Israel on the global stage, shedding light on the hardships we are facing and garnering international support against our critics. I will continue to do everything in my power to voice Israel's plea from every corner. My heart aches, and my soul is heavy with grief for the ongoing events. But I have no doubt that our people will endure. Am Yisrael Chai."Presumably, Gadot did take some of Asayag's advice, because as reported here, she panned those calling for a "ceasefire" with Hamas:
'We are all Jews'
Asayag replied, "Gal, we've been proud of you for all these years. In this critical moment, we want you to stand with us, not apart from us. Your strength is invaluable, and we are going through a trying time. Be by our side."
She added, "Above all, let's remember, we are all Jews. We are one people, and we have no other homeland."
Earlier, Asayag had criticized Gadot on her Instagram, saying, "Gal Gadot, you wrote and then deleted! That's a good thing. I've refrained from responding to you multiple times because I understand your concern for your career and livelihood. But this time, you've crossed a line. Come to the frontlines to witness the tragedy of innocent lives lost, young girls, fallen soldiers, and grieving families. Our enemies harbor hatred for Israel. And you? It's best for all of us to remain silent. You live in a Hollywood movie, switching your Israeli identity on and off at will. Chart a course, please."
Israeli actress Gal Gadot voiced harsh criticism of those who are calling for a ceasefire between Israel and the Hamas terror organization.I'll admit that's something of an improvement. But if the following is any suggestion, she's contradicting herself yet again when she wrote a request to USA fraud-in-chief Joe Biden, even as she shared a video of a boy who was kidnapped:
"I'm asking myself: what happened to humanity? How could that be? Why do we need to convince people that that is not okay? When others are asking for a ceasefire, and I'm all for peace, don't get me wrong, but the hostages are still there. Not a word about the hostages," Gadot stated.
Two weeks ago, the actress was among the more than 700 leaders from the entertainment industry have signed an open letter released by the non-profit entertainment industry organization Creative Community For Peace in support of Israel.
“My heart is aching for the lives lost and families shattered. I’m praying for everyone who has been affected by Hamas’ terrorism and brutality. And I hope that the world remains steadfast in their support of the Israeli people,” Gadot stated.
In a separate post, she also penned an open letter to president Joe Biden as an urgent plea for the release of the hostages taken by Hamas in their terror attack against Israel. "We all want the same thing: Freedom for Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. Freedom from the brutal violence spread by Hamas. And most urgently, in this moment, freedom for the hostages," read an excerpt from the letter. It was jointly signed by many celebrities including Amy Schumer, Bob Odenkirk, Gal Gadot, Chris Rock, Bradley Cooper, Madonna, Greg Berlanti, Constance Wu, Judd Apatow, Tyler Perry, and Sacha Baron Cohen among others.Well, she's clearly oblivious to what Florida governor Ron deSantis pointed out, that the so-called "palestinians" are largely antisemitic, and unsuited to live in civilized societies. And I wouldn't trust some of the people who signed onto that letter at immediate face value either. They're leftists, even more so than she is, and Apatow for one has done stuff that's downright fishy in the past. I'm sorry to say, but Gadot remains very dismayingly flaccid in her positions, and aligning herself with a movement called "Creative Community for Peace" is also suspect, when you consider there's movements exploiting the word like Jewish Voice for Peace too. This is just why Gadot won't be recalled by future generations as someone to truly admire. If she's that concerned about her Hollywood career, she's not fit to shine shoes.
Update: while we're on the topic, here's news about a Hamas terrorist who admitted they intended to visit sexual violence and worse upon Israeli victims.
