Avi Maoz warns of attempts to legalize pedophilia in Israel
Israeli far-right lawmaker Avi Maoz accused the Justice Ministry of attempting to normalize pedophilia within the country by altering Israel's age of consent laws.Look how they say "all" instead of "both". This is truly offensive, and even Americans with common sense should look upon this paper in disgrace and shame for perpetuating a woke distortion of how there's only 2 genders, male and female. That told, let's continue:
Currently, the age of consent in Israel is 16 for all genders. However, that age of consent can go as low as 14, provided the other sexual partner was no more than three years older and both parties consented.
But according to Maoz, the Justice Ministry is trying to change this to an age gap of five years. It's crucial to note the Lev Tahor cult did stuff like this, forcing underaged girls to marry older men, and any alteration of the law could even exonerate scum like Malka Leifer, who's also mentioned in the article. Haredi cults and Islamists could take advantage of any bad steps made, and that'll be terrible if it happens.
"A 19-year-old man can have consensual sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl and won't face criminal charges," Maoz said.
He vowed to prevent this law from passing.
"Pedophilia is a perversion," Maoz said. "Pedophilia is a disgusting phenomenon and I will do everything in my power to make sure the children of Israel are not abandoned because of one agenda or another."It's no shock at all the UN's willing to do this. They already were notorious for sex abuse scandals in the past 20-plus years, and their current positions are an assault on the dignity of many American children too. Children who're now facing abuse at the hands of LGBTQ activists in the USA and elsewhere.
Avi Maoz and pedophilia in Israel
This isn't the first time Maoz has brought up pedophilia as a potential problem facing the Jewish state.
In the speech he gave Tuesday, the Noam MK mentioned how he warned a year and a half ago the State of Israel could legalize pedophilia in the near future, citing examples he claimed were of different countries around the world "weakening" their stances on the issue.
He further cited a new report from the United Nations, which he said called to decriminalize certain sex offenses and mentioned that law enforcement should recognize that people under the age of 18 are able to make decisions about consensual sexual behavior.
Maoz slammed this as "abandoning children in favor of the morbid lusts of adults."
The Noam lawmaker was elected to the Knesset on a platform heavily critical of LGBTQ+ policies and has frequently made critical statements against members of the LGBTQ+ community. This includes saying that he is "filled with shame" over the fact that current Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana is gay. Here too, the Post is noticeably trying to make Maoz look bad. If anything, he's disturbed that the leftist advocates who mainly comprise the LGBTQ+ community have ignored and acted as apologists for the monstrosities he speaks of for years, and even lionized Harvey Milk, despite his own offenses in his time. It's interesting to note that many leftists have blame to shoulder for not condemning Haredi sex offenders or doing anything proper to put a stop to them. Also note how the Post is trying to downplay any connections homosexual/transsexual activists have to these current scandals involving children.
According to a December 2022 report by Ynet, the Noam Party has been keeping track of LGBTQ+ people working in the Israeli media and keeping a blacklist for several years.
Maoz has also referred to members of the LGBTQ+ community as "perverts and pedophiles."
However, the issue of the age of consent laws is something that is a topic of discussion in countries around the world and spans the political spectrum. It is also one that is often irrelevant to the debate on LGBTQ+ rights.
As for Maoz and company's dismay with Ohana, it's okay if they feel that way. No matter what good he's doing now, does that excuse how he and the man he's partnering with are leading a lifestyle that's a poor example for men, and possibly cutting the mother of the child in their custody out of his life? The simple answer is "no". If that's what he's doing, it reminds me of a rabbi who'd spoken out against sexual abuse in the Satmar clan, who'd said they try to cut the mother out of the family in some cases, if she dared go against their twisted beliefs. Yes, sometimes what insular Haredi clans and LGBT activists do can be almost parallel in similarities.
Israel also has had historic issues regarding pedophilia and sex offenders. According to a 2020 report by the Matzof Association, there are tens of thousands of pedophiles who operate in Israel every year, leading to about 100,000 victims annually. On this note, let's consider that what Leifer did indicates very strongly that she's bisexual and/or lesbian, as do the vile acts of the now deceased Yehuda Meshi-Zahav and Chaim Walder indicate they're bisexual/homosexual. And local LGBT advocates never seem to condemn their actions any more than they did the offenses of Gal Uchovsky.
The vast majority of cases go unreported, Matzof said.
According to a 2020 CBS report alongside Jewish Community Watch, a number of pedophiles in Israel are Jewish immigrants who have sought refuge in the country under the law of return.
One of the most infamous cases is that of Australian haredi school principal Malka Leifer, who fled to Israel after allegations came to light that she sexually abused pupils.
After a long legal battle, Leifer was eventually extradited back to Australia, where she was recently convicted.
Another good deed Maoz appears to have succeeded in working on is getting the government to restore "mother and father" to their registration forms:
Cabinet secretary Yossi Shelley issued a directive to ministers on Monday, telling them to ensure official forms issued by bodies under ministry auspices that refer to “parent 1” and “parent 2” will instead issue them with the designation “father” and “mother.” According to Shelley, the change was in line with the coalition agreements and ordered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The leftist advocate who blabbered the above would do well to just shut up. Besides, what's even he had to say about homosexual abuse in the Haredi community? Seriously. These LGBT activists also don't condemn Islamofascists who've destroyed the lives of helpless children for ages on end. It's shameful how these activists believe, despite any claims to the contrary, that "mother and father" bear no relevance. And it's fortunate that Maoz has gotten the terms restored to government papers.
The directive comes two months after Avi Maoz, the chairman of the Noam party, resigned his post as deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Office in protest against the government’s failure to establish a National Jewish Identity Authority under his direction as promised in the coalition agreements. Nevertheless, Maoz said at the time that he would remain in the coalition.
Coalition sources said on Monday that the new directive was part of the prime minister’s efforts to appease Maoz and bring him back into the government.
In his resignation letter, Maoz said that he has been working to “restore father and mother to official ministry forms as we had promised our voters and as was signed off on in the coalition agreement with us – but none of this has been successfully completed so far.”
A government source said on Monday that “this step will create real equality, in which no public is harmed, while meeting the terms of the coalition agreement.”
The agreement signed between the Likud and Noam parties last November states that “all governmental institutions official forms will be issued in which parents will be designated 'father’ and 'mother’” and that the change “will not preclude the option of issuing parallel forms that correspond to parental alternatives for those who wish them.”
Responding to the new directive, Maoz said on Monday that “thank God, in accordance with the coalition agreement with the Noam party, the most natural thing of all is again becoming legitimate in our country.”
Ran Shalhavi, the director of The Aguda – Israel’s LGBT Task Force, said in response that “when the cost of living, rampant violence in the streets and security threats are on the rise, the government is dealing with forms and fulfilling the political whims of an extremist and homophobic person Knesset member, who just last week called the gay Knesset speaker 'a desecration.’”
Shalhavi added that “the attempt to show that the gay community opposes 'mother and father’ is at best ignorant and at worst is offensive. As long as families and our existence are not being made invisible, government forms can and should include everyone and everything. We will continue to make sure that happens.”
For the record, the aforementioned Leifer recently had a pre-sentencing court hearing in Melbourne, and we must hope she'll get a very long jail term for the horrific abuse she committed against the 3 sisters who courageously brought charges against her.
